250 Daly Street (Palmerston Affordable Housing) was completed in the early spring of 2018. This 2 storey, 11,600sf building houses 11 units comprised of a 2 and 3 bedroom mix, including 1 fully accessible suite. On-site laundry facilities along with a common room is accommodated on the ground floor with direct access to the exterior landscaped amenity area.

The exterior façade features brick veneer cladding on both levels along with corrugated metal and fibre-cement board accents for a well-balanced aesthetic. The unit patios and balconies are designed to provide further articulation to the building façade by introducing an exposed steel structural grid, which supports the balcony slabs as well as a cedar brise-soleil element above all second floor balconies.

The building’s thermal performance is enhanced by the use of fiberglass windows and doors along with the implementation of a ‘hybrid wall’ system at all exterior assemblies to minimize heat loss during the winter and heat gain during the summer months.
